Please read these terms carefully before making a reservation or using our services. By booking a table or visiting our cafe, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Kan Eang @ Pier website (kaneang-pier.com), making a reservation, or visiting our establishment, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. About Us

Kan Eang @ Pier is a seafood restaurant located in Chalong, Phuket, Thailand. We specialize in fresh seafood, traditional Thai cuisine, and contemporary dishes in a stunning waterfront setting on Chalong Bay since 1969.

3. Reservations

3.1 Making a Reservation

Table reservations can be made through our website or by contacting us directly. A reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email from our team.

3.2 Deposit Requirement

We require a non-refundable deposit of 500 THB per reservation to secure your table. This deposit:

  • Is deducted from your final bill when you dine with us
  • Is non-refundable for cancellations or no-shows
  • Is processed securely via Stripe payment gateway
  • Must be paid at the time of booking

3.3 Table Holding Policy

  • Tables are held for 15 minutes past the reserved time
  • If you're running late, please contact us to hold your table longer
  • After 15 minutes without contact, we may release your table to walk-in guests
  • No-shows will forfeit their deposit

3.4 Large Group Reservations

For groups of 8 or more guests, please contact us directly to arrange your reservation. Additional terms may apply, including:

  • Larger deposit requirements
  • Set menu options for efficient service
  • Extended cancellation notice periods

4. Changes and Cancellations

4.1 Modifying a Reservation

You may modify your reservation (date, time, party size) up to 24 hours before your scheduled visit by:

  • Replying to your confirmation email
  • Contacting us via the website contact form
  • Calling us directly at +66 94 592 8599

4.2 Cancellation Policy

  • More than 24 hours notice: Your deposit remains valid for rebooking within 30 days
  • Less than 24 hours notice: Deposit is forfeited
  • No-show: Deposit is forfeited

5. Dining Experience

5.1 Seating

We offer both indoor (air-conditioned) and outdoor seating. While we accommodate seating preferences where possible, specific table assignments cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability.

5.2 Dietary Requirements & Allergies

We take food allergies and dietary requirements seriously. Please inform us when booking or upon arrival. Our kitchen handles:

  • Wheat and gluten
  • Dairy products
  • Eggs
  • Fish and shellfish
  • Soy products
  • Tree nuts and peanuts
  • Sesame

While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment due to the risk of cross-contact.

5.3 Guest Conduct

We strive to create a pleasant atmosphere for all guests. We reserve the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave if their behavior:

  • Disturbs other guests or staff
  • Is threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
  • Damages property
  • Violates any applicable laws

5.4 Children

Children are welcome at Kan Eang @ Pier. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times. Children must remain seated or under adult supervision for safety reasons.

5.5 Pets

Well-behaved pets are welcome in our outdoor seating area only. Please keep pets on a leash and ensure they do not disturb other guests.

6. Payment

6.1 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Cash (Thai Baht)
  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX)
  • Mobile Payment (PromptPay, TrueMoney, LINE Pay)

6.2 Pricing

All prices displayed are in Thai Baht (THB) and include applicable VAT. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price at the time of ordering applies.

6.3 Service Charge

We do not add a service charge to bills. Tipping is appreciated but not expected.

7. Photography and Social Media

You are welcome to take photographs for personal use. We occasionally photograph our cafe, food, and events for marketing purposes. We avoid identifiable shots of guests without consent. If you appear in any published content and wish for it to be removed, please contact us.

8. Website Use

8.1 Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Kan Eang @ Pier and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8.2 Permitted Use

You may use our website for:

  • Making reservations
  • Viewing our menu and information
  • Contacting us
  • Personal, non-commercial purposes

8.3 Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission
  • Use automated systems to access or scrape our website
  • Attempt to interfere with the website's operation

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Thai law, Kan Eang @ Pier shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Thai law, including liability for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kan Eang @ Pier, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of our services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Phuket, Thailand.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
